St Margaret of Antioch
The unveiling by the Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor Gary Hunt, of Pamela Beresford’s statue of St Margaret of Antioch, formerly on the facade of the Corah Works. In its new position at the ancient prebendal church of St Margaret it is facing St Margaret’s Way and Sanvey Gate. The dedication of the statue was by Canon Barry Naylor.

Sheila Riley at the unveiling
Apparently Sheila remembers Pamela Beresford travelling on the bus into Leicester to carve the statue, which was carved in situe over the door of Corah’s St Margaret’s factory.
