Forget Me Not – What Hoby’s Ancestors did in the First World War – an exhibition

_MG_1293From Saturday 23rd May 2015 to Monday 24th May 2015, as part of Hoby’s First World War Centenary Commemorations, we staged a major exhibition in the Church to honour what the ancestors of current Hoby residents and Hoby & District Local History Society members did during the First World War.

There are over 50 stories of our ancestors told by their sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews. Their stories paint a vivid and fascinating picture of life at home, at the front and of lives changed forever.

Part of the Forget Me Not exhibition involved doing research into some of the context that our ancestors would have found themselves in during the First World War.
