David Beatty erected a memorial in St Michael & All Angels Church Brooksby in memory of the officers and men from the Battlecruiser Fleet who lost their lives during the battle. As part of the 2016 Battles of Jutland commemorations the memorial has been restored.

Description

Elaborate wall monument consisting of an oval central panel surmounted by a coat of arms in a nowy head, and flanked by two rectangular panels set within pilastres, on top of plinth is lion rampant flanked by sailors on either side of a shield, top half of shield is red cross on white background, bottom half is golden beehive surrounded by golden bees, underneath are cross swords and wreath, furled flags and crossed cannons.
